Thank you very much for the valuable suggestions.

I am able to run most of the jobs now, specifying single node using the
parallel version of the code.
What you suggested was correct, some of the runs crashed because the needed
input files were not available in the working directories.  Regarding the
post processing utilities, I am trying with different options to get
everything work well.
