Dear all,

Just to re-send these details, as some people seem to have missed the previous
emails and website announcements over the past weeks.

There has been significant changes to the location of home directories. Please
ensure that you have read the details below.

In particular, your old files will be *deleted* after 1 month, if you have not
moved them to the new location (your new home directory and/or project
directory).

As outlined in the Announcement and our Data Policies, the home filesystem has
been reorganised: http://www.tchpc.tcd.ie/resources/datapolicy

* when you log in, a *new* home directory will be created for you in /home/users
  - this will be empty initially

* your old files have been moved to /projects/MARKED_FOR_DELETION/<GROUP>/<USER>
  - they will be *deleted* after 1 month
  - you should move whatever files you need into your new home directory, and
    archive and delete un-wanted files
  - in particular, you may wish to copy back your old SSH keys (the .ssh
directory), your configured modules and shell customisations (probably in
    the .bashrc file)
  - if you are unsure where your old files are, the following command should
    find them for you:

    ls -ld /projects/MARKED_FOR_DELETION/*/* | grep $USER

* your new home directory quota is 50GB
  - quotas are reported with the 'myquota' tool

* compute jobs on lonsdale should be run from within
  /projects/pi-<PI_NAME>/<PROJECT_ID>
  - if you are unsure of what project id(s) you are a part of, please contact us
  - if you are unable to access or write files in that directory, please contact
us (you may not be in the correct group)

* the lonsdale queue has been changed
  - the maui scheduler software has been removed (e.g. showq no longer works),
and all functionality has been replaced within SLURM
  - full allocation of CPU-hours is now implemented on lonsdale
  - to query your allocation(s), use the "sbank balance statement" command (see
http://www.tchpc.tcd.ie/slurm-bank). This will tell you which projects you
are a part of, and how many hours are available in each.

Please contact us at ops at tchpc.tcd.ie if you have any queries.

Kind regards,
Paddy
