Dear IITAC user,

Currently the clusters IITAC, Lonsdale and Parsons share a global
general parallel file system, the /home file system is currently at 95%
capacity. We have run some statistics on the files stored on the file
system and it has come to our knowledge that up to 18terabytes of data
has not been accessed at all.

Will users please clean up old data if possible, we are down to about
2terabytes of free space in /home. Please note the /home file system is
not for backing up data and data that is not being worked on should
really be cleaned up, archived to your local backup systems and removed
from the cluster.

We will be actively monitoring and informing the top 20 space consumers
in the near future, but for now you can check if you are a hog or not
by running the hogs script.

[jtang at kelvin01 ~]$ module load hogs
[jtang at kelvin01 ~]$ hogs
... some output ...

Regards,
